The core list of essential medicines is based on common opportunistic infection treatments and requests from other HIV/AIDS care and treatment programs. SCMS supplies essential medicines that meet both quality standards for GMP and safety requirements, and are efficacious.
SCMS’s sourcing policy is in line with USAID regulations. SCMS can procure essential medicines from Stringent Regulatory Authority approved manufacturers, UNICEF and WHO approved manufacturers, and approved procurement agents. Other sources may be possible after an extensive approval process.

The listed products are not registered in all (PEPFAR focus) countries. Identifying a vendor will require time to take into account local registration and importation requirements. We will try to obtain the product that is compliant with our quality requirements and with your country’s importation requirements. The lead time depends on registration/importation requirements and availability.
